Owner of Timber + Toast and Ember + Oak.

I’m a city girl turned country, now living on a cattle ranch just outside Kamloops. Life looks a little different than it used to, but one thing hasn’t changed. I care deeply about connection and the small details that make people feel valued.

Over the years, I’ve had more than a few guy friends admit they were completely stumped when it came to planning something meaningful. Not because they didn’t care. They did. They just didn’t know where to start, what would actually feel special, or how to pull it together without it becoming overwhelming.

Kamloops has incredible views, hidden spots, and great local experiences. But no one was bringing it all together in a way that felt seamless, structured, and handled properly. So I built what was missing.

For over five years, I’ve been creating styled luxury picnic setups for birthdays, girls gatherings, and special celebrations. I was always told I should start event planning professionally. I loved designing beautiful spaces, layering details, and watching people walk into something that made them pause.

Eventually, I decided to stop keeping it informal and build it properly.

Timber + Toast and Ember + Oak exists to remove guesswork and replace it with clarity. I plan the timeline. I coordinate the details. I style the space. I think through what could go wrong so you do not have to.
